Exceptions and Oddities, part 1

There were obviously many exceptions to the Nemesis-standard DS9/NEM "captain jacket," some of which we have mentioned previously, as well as apparent stylistic differences between the DS9/NEM garments of the television and movie franchises (such as the topstitching styles and mitered corners vs. rounded curves). 

There were other minor variations in construction over the years, too. 

For instance, sometimes the jacket was made with a facing inside the yoke:

Other times, there was no facing and the lining appeared to be simply secured by binding the yoke edge with the ⅜" gray wool gabardine bias trim. 

For ease of construction, we designed our DS9/NEM "captain jacket" pattern with the latter method (no facing).
