Misc. Observations and Errors, part 1

Unfortunately, prior to Nemesis, quilt lines didn't always properly align with their counterparts along the shoulder seam on any of the DS9/NEM-era garments, including the "captain jacket."

DS9, 7x25 "What You Leave Behind"


We know the Sisko had at least two DS9/NEM "captain jackets," which he alternated between over the course of Deep Space Nine's final season, so it's a bit perplexing as to why the costume department dressed him in the inferior one(s?) for Deep Space Nine's epic final episode, when he already had one that was "properly" quilted ...

Even the "Sisko variant" he wore when the DS9/NEM uniforms were first introduced on Deep Space Nine had matching quilt lines at the shoulder seam, and that was more or less a prototype at the very beginning of the uniform upgrade!

Given their initial success with that aspect of the "Sisko variant," one would assume that the costume department would've mastered matching quilt lines at the shoulder seam two and a half years seasons and a movie later, but apparently not ...
